ABOUT
Rachael Alexander is a painter and muralist who graduated from Winchester School of Art in 1988 with a degree in printmaking. Since this time, she has gone on to work in many different formats - from small scale paintings to murals that span entire rooms. Her work has been hung in Hotel du Vin and across the Royal Caribbean ships; projects that she has collaborated on have reached across the globe.
She specialises in trompe l’oeil and works in all paint mediums, predominantly oil, with patience and great care as she expertly brings a subject matter to life with realism and a hint of softness.
RACHAEL ALEXANDER
Since working in Winchester, Rachael has worked on a number of community projects alongside the work she creates and the classes she hosts. Namely, the ‘Art of Bollards’ Project of Winchester which Rachael works on, alongside longtime collaborator, Jenny Muncaster. More recently, Rachael delivered a project in partnership with Network Rail, Romsey School and University of Southampton Biomedical Imaging Department, creating a striking artworks to line the pedestrian tunnel at Romsey Railway Station.
